Summer Theater Camps

Elementary Summer Camp

Bunce Performing Arts hosts an affordable summer theater camp each year in Maple Grove for students ages 6 - 11 or entering grades 1 - 5. Registration begins on March 1st and is limited to 50 campers. Camp is run the week after the District 279 school year ends.

This fun Maple Grove theater camp costs just $120. Each camp is run by talented local directors with backgrounds in theater and education. Summer theater camp participants will experience a variety of activities including learning musical theater songs and fun choreography and playing theater games. These activities are intended to promote problem solving skills, working cooperatively, leadership and self-confidence.

Middle School Summer Camp

Summer camp for middle school students is offered through the District 279 Community Education Department and is for students entering grades 6 through 9. Registration is limited to 50 students - all students must be pre-registered before the first rehearsal. This theater camp will take place at Maple Grove Middle School where students will rehearse and perform on a real stage!

Rehearsals will be run by experienced theater professionals who focus on fun while teaching songs, choreography and dialog. All students receive a part in the musical. 

Trained theater staff will lead middle school students through a musical theater experience that promotes problem solving skills, working cooperatively, leadership and self-confidence.
